Problem Statement and Key Requirements
TripLI sought to build a cutting-edge ride-hailing app that would revolutionize the on-demand mobility landscape in Nigeria. The goal was to provide users with a seamless, 24/7 ride-booking experience while improving operational efficiency.
To achieve this, TripLI required advanced functionality, including a refined ride assignment system to ensure efficient driver allocation. Additionally, an auto-accept toggle for drivers was essential to optimize response times and enhance overall service delivery. These enhancements were critical in aligning the app's performance with TripLI's strategic business objectives.
Key Requirements:
- The requested ride should be assigned to the nearby driver with a 10-second response window for acceptance. However, if rejected, the ride will then cycle through up to 4 drivers for reassignment.
- Addition of a 'Chat on WhatsApp' icon positioned next to the call icon.
- Auto-accept toggle to allow drivers to automatically accept rides if enabled.
- Customized notification sound for ride alerts on the driver app.
- OTP feature for ride pickups to be removed, retaining the OTP only for package deliveries with an enable/disable control for admin.
- Drivers should be automatically set to offline in case they remain inactive for an hour.
